Please be advised the NBRC Board of Trustees voted to eliminate the voluntary recredentialing route for all NBRC examinations effective January 1, 2018. This decision was made to better increase examination security and strengthen the link between examination scores and long-term competence levels.
Lori Tinkler now CEO of the U.S. credentialing board for respiratory care practitioners
The National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. (NBRC) has named Lori M. Tinkler, MBA, as chief executive officer effective January 1, 2018. Tinkler has a 26+ year tenure with the organization and succeeds Gary A. Smith, who served in various leadership roles during his 34 years with the NBRC, including his position as CEO for the last 16 years.
