2014 HOSPITAL OF THE YEAR AWARD

Willis Knighton Medical Center >200 beds

Willis Knighton Medical Center has been awarded the 2014 Hospital of the Year for Respiratory Care with more than 200 beds by the Louisiana Society for Respiratory Care (LSRC).  Willis Knighton Medical Center has a highly qualified staff of 120 respiratory care practitioners, 77%registered and 23%certified, who are an integral part of the hospital’s clinical care team.  The respiratory care practitioners at Willis Knighton Medical Center, in collaboration with medical staff, utilize therapist driven protocols to assess, treat and manage patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

The Louisiana Society for Respiratory Care awarded its 2014 Award for Excellence in memory of Connely J. Duplantis. The Louisiana Society for Respiratory Care awarded its 2014 Pioneer Award at the state annual educational meeting in Baton Rouge to Mr. Kendrick J. Duet, MA, RRT. Ken currently serves as Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center in Houma. 

The Pioneer Award honors an individual who has dedicated a major portion of his life contributing towards the development and advancement of the Respiratory Care Profession.
